So here is what I’ve been up to today – a flavour of what I get up to on a daily basis.
I started my day by attending a board meeting on site at Plymouth Science Park where I had to prepare and present management accounts on the performance of busy and successful IT company, Acronyms Ltd. The board meeting was attended by a business mentor as well as the directors of the company and all aspects of the business were discussed. Plans were laid out and strategies and tasks were agreed in these meetings to keep driving the company forward towards it goals. As a result of this meeting I have been tasked with creating a two year cash flow projection from July 2017 onwards and to identify procedures for both project costing and credit control for the company.
This was follwed by an appraisal meeting with Fellow Director Angela Best where we also discussed our Bookkeeping department and staffing requirements.
Later on I connected with Toni Trevett, a lecturer from the AAT conference I attended a few weeks ago, in order to gain some further knowledge regarding promotion of personal performance and ownership within an organisation.
