He has decided to embark on a Backyard Ultra event in Portland, Dorset, starting on May the 28th.
For those who don’t know anything about a Backyard Ultra, it entails a loop of 4.2 miles, which sounds easy right? But the aim of a Backyard event is to run until you can’t run anymore, 1 loop every hour, on the hour, until you drop!
24 loops being John’s ultimate goal. Last year he managed 20, an amazing achievement and not far off from last year’s winner who managed a staggering 29 loops.
